Born in 1960 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, Jun Tsunoda originally established himself as an art director before becoming a painter in the mid-2000s. Recent solo exhibitions include “Black Plants” (Gallery Trax, Yamanashi, 2023); “Automatic Writing”(GASBON METABOLISM, Yamanashi / CALM&PUNK GALLERY, Tokyo, 2023); “A New Career In A New Town” (Parcel, Tokyo, 2019); and “Hollow Organ” (Curator’s Cube, Tokyo, 2017). Major group exhibitions include “From Dali to the Present” (2019) at the Morohashi Museum of Modern Art, and “Abstraction and Form: The Invisible” (2012) at Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art. Published catalogues include “Cave”, “SOUND AND VISION”, and “Mineral Sculptures.”
