Chiaki Kainuma
Born in 1995 in Tokyo, Japan. Influenced by internet culture aesthetics such as digital photo collages and vaporwave, Kainuma’s works explore life within capitalist society, often with an ironic, humorous twist.
Kainuma graduated from Tama Art University in 2018 with a BFA in Oil Painting. Recent activities include the solo exhibitions “KAINUMA and the CHOCOLATE FACTORY”, Kameido Art Center (Tokyo, 2024); “System Settei Shinwa Rakuenkyou”, Shinjuku Gankagarou (Tokyo, 2023); and the group exhibition “EPIC PAINTERS Vol. 13”, THE blank GALLERY (Tokyo, 2024).
